Glasses or Contact Lenses?

The choice to wear glasses or contact lenses for vision correction is totally a personal preference. Many factors highly influence this like lifestyle, comfort, convenience and budget. Contact lenses provide a wide variety of view and can cause fewer vision distortions, but some people have trouble putting them on and taking them out, it comes with practice. Contact lenses will go with all outfits, it won’t clash with the outfit. But contact lenses will reduce the supply of oxygen reaching your eye this also can lead to increase the severity of dry eye syndrome. Contacts lens are not affected by foggy or cold weather whereas the glasses will fog up during cold weather. Contact lenses require proper lens care, it is important to clean it each day.

Wearing glasses will reduce the need to touch your eyes and it will also reduce the chances of irritating your eyes and eye infection. Eyeglasses are cheaper and a cost effective way as compared with the contact lenses in the long term. You don’t need to replace them often even if your prescription changes, you can easily replace the lenses and keep the current frame.
